Proposed Policy for School Administration in Digital Era Toward Sustainable Development of The Secondary School Under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office in The Northeastern Region

Abstract

This Article aimed to study 1) study current conditions, desirable conditions, and modified priority need indexes of the school administration in the digital era toward sustainable development of the secondary school under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office in the Northeastern Region; 2) formulate the proposed policy for school administration in the digital era toward sustainable development; and 3) validate and evaluate the proposed policy for school administration in the digital era toward sustainable development. Mixed Method was a research design. The research area was the secondary schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office in the Northeastern Region. The sample comprised school directors, the heads of Academic Affairs, the heads of Information technology, and the school board of the secondary schools, amount 1,088 people by Multi-stages random sampling. The data collection instruments included a semi-structured interview and questionnaires. Analyzed the quantitative data by frequency distribution, percentage, mean, range, and modified priority need Index (PNI _modified). Analyzed qualitative data by content analysis.

The results found that:

                1) The overall current condition of the school administration in the digital era toward sustainable development was at a moderate level . The overall desirable condition was at the highest level, The Priority Needs Index,  ranked from highest to lowest was as follows: 1) Learning management in the digital era , 2) Technology administration for school in the digital era..3) Learning management development for teachers in the digital era, and 4) School administration system development in the digital era, respectively.

1. The proposed policy for school administration in the digital era toward sustainable development had twelve goals, fifty-two policy means, and thirty-nine policy mechanisms.
2. The overall result of validation and evaluation of the proposed policy for school administration in the digital era toward sustainable development was at the highest suitable level.
