Director’s Leadership of Municipality School 5 (Wat Pa ChittaSamakkhi), NakhonRatchasima Municipality, NakhonRatchasima Province

Abstract

This research is the qualitative research with its objectives of (1) studying the leadership and how to administer the school, (2) analyzing the relationship between the school director and the director of the Local Administration Organization (LAO) towards the school director’s success, (3) analyzing the resolutions and obstacles of the school directorship and (4) summarizing the scopes of operation as the model for the excellent school director. The samples are the governor of NakhonRatchasima Municipality, the director of Municipality School 5 (Wat Pa ChittaSamakkhi), the teachers of Municipality School 5 (Wat Pa ChittaSamakkhi), the students’ parents and the community leader. The research tools are the questionnaire and the interview form. The data from the interview were interpreted and descriptively reported.

            The research findings revealed as follows: (1) According to the good school administration, the director must have various or integrated abilities of administration for the achievement to directors, teachers and students. The concept of the school directorship consisted of having initiatives, leaderships, rhetoric, right teacher selection to schools and kindness to subordinates. 2) According to the relationship with the director of the Local Administration Organization (LAO), it was found that the director of the Local Administration Organization agreed to hold the activities with the school and issue the policy of administration conforming to the teachers, the students and the instructional plans. 3) The problem of teacher shortage was solved, and the profession training was supported to let the students have passive skills that would be used unless they continue at a higher educational level. 4) The scopes of operation from studying the good school director were to have a good governance, an ability of personnel management and work management, have a good command of rules and laws, give an opportunity to everyone to make a decision and kind to partners.
