Large-scale agricultural Managment for cassava in Dong Phayung Subdistrict, Donchan District, Kalasin Province

Abstract

The objective of this research is to evaluate the large-scale management of cassava plots in Dong Phayuang Subdistrict, Don Chan District, Kalasin Province. Study from all total of 54 farmers of large-scale farm in Dong Phayuang Subdistrict. The data were collected by interviewing the farmers. The statistical methodology used to analyze the data including frequency, percentage, maximum value, minimum value, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The results found that the majority of farmers were female (61.11 percent), with an average age of 55.51 years, and with an average of 27.7 years of experience in cassava production. Farmers have an average income in the agricultural and non-agricultural sectors is 120,796.29 and 9,102.49 baht per year, respectively. The biggest problem for farmers is not having their own cassava processing facilities. In addition, there are few channels for purchasing cassava, unable to set the price yourself, and the lack of knowledge and technology to increase the value of cassava products are important problems.
