Journal Process

Manuscript Review and Publication Process

The journal’s workflow, from manuscript submission and initial screening to peer review and the Editor-in-Chief’s decision, consists of the following steps:
1. Manuscript Submission and Fee Payment
The author submits the manuscript through the journal’s online submission system and pays the fee in accordance with the university announcement. The submission and proof of payment are recorded in the system.
2. Initial Screening
The Editorial Office screens the manuscript’s format and references and issues a payment receipt within 10 days.
If the manuscript passes the screening, it proceeds to editorial consideration. If it does not pass, the author is notified to revise it within 30 days. Manuscripts revised on time and meeting the screening requirements proceed to the next stage. Manuscripts that do not pass are declined, and the author is notified of the rejection.
3. Referral to the Editor-in-Chief
The system notifies the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Administrative Governance, who assigns reviewers to evaluate the manuscript.
4. Peer Review and Reviewer Recommendations
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript within 30 days, provide feedback, and recommend one of the following five outcomes:
      - Accept Submission: The manuscript proceeds to typesetting for publication within 7 days. The author is then notified, and the manuscript proceeds to the Editor-in-Chief’s decision.
      - Revisions Required: The author revises the manuscript in accordance with the reviewers’ recommendations within 30 days. The editor checks the revisions before the manuscript proceeds to the Editor-in-Chief’s decision.
      - Resubmit for Review: The author revises and resubmits the manuscript. A new round of peer review is conducted within 15 days, after which the review results are forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief for a decision.
      - Resubmit Elsewhere: The author is advised to submit the manuscript to another journal. The recommendation is then forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief for a decision.
      - Decline Submission: The author is notified of the rejection, and the manuscript review process ends.
5. Final Decision and Author Notification
The Editor-in-Chief makes a decision based on the review results and the relevant actions taken. The journal then implements the decision and notifies the author within 7 days.
