The Development Of Catholic Teachers Training Curriculum At St. Joseph Thiphawan School To Enhance Analytical Thinking Skills

Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to develop a curriculum for Catholic Teacher Training at Saint Joseph Thiphawan School, 2) to compare the results of the Catholic teachers Training Course before and after the training, and 3) to study the satisfaction of Catholic teachers towards the training course by using a quasi-experimental research design which consists of 4 steps:
Step 1 Study the conceptual framework of the training course.
Step 2 Design a training course and research tools.
Step 3 Apply the training course.
Step 4 Evaluate the effectiveness of the training and improve the curriculum.
The tools used to collect data were 1) a questionnaire given to the teachers regarding the training course, 2) The research population was the 93 Catholic teachers of three Saint Joseph Schools in Bangkok and Samut Prakan: 39 from Saint Joseph Convent, 24 from Saint Joseph Bangna, and 30 from Saint Joseph Thiphawan. The statistics used to analyze the data were Mean, and Standard Deviation.
The study finding revealed the following:
1. The results of research on developing the Catholic Teacher Training Curriculum at Saint Joseph Thiphawan School to enhance the analytical thinking skills showed that Catholic teachers who received the training applied the curriculum to the teaching management of students in all level.
2. The Catholic teachers had higher analytical thinking skill, knowledge and understanding after the training than before the training with statistical significance at .05.
3. The results of the training is satisfactory.
