Problem analysis to extension needs of large agricultural land plot cassava farmers in Don Chan Kalasin province

Abstract

A study of Extension needs of large agricultural land plot cassava farmers in Don Chan Kalasin Province. The purpose of this study was to study the need for of large agricultural land plot cassava growers in Don Chan District Kalasin Province. The study population consisted of 400 farmers registered with the department of agricultural extension with cassava planting areas in Don Chan district Kalasin province. The proportion of errors here is set at 0.05 for 400 cases using questionnaire. The results showed that 62.50 percentage of the farmers were male, with an average age of 37.75 years, 70.60 Percentage of them were cassava farmers and 56.00 percentage farmers did not form a group. The average yield were 4,265 kilograms per rai, 63.50 percentage needed technology to produce cassava. 83.50 percentage did not want to diversify cassava processing, 97.50 percentage want a certain market and 49.75 percent want to participate in cassava production. This shows that farmers need to promote large agricultural land plot agriculture, definite marketing, modern technology and reduce production cost.
