The Task-based Learning and Scaffolding Method to Develop Language Skills for Secondary Class Student Level 1 in Local Community: A Case Study of Baan Sankayom School, Mae Rim, Chiang Mai

Abstract
The purposes of this study were 1) to create an invention for teaching and learning of integrated skills in English using task-based learning and scaffolding, 2) to develop integrated language skills of students using task-based learning and scaffolding, and 3) to study the satisfaction of students using task-based learning and scaffolding. The population was 29 grade 7 students enrolled in the year 2015 at Baan Sankayom School, Mae Rim, Chiang Mai. The experiment followed the one group pretest posttest design. The experimental instruments consisted of pretest, posttest, computer assisted instruction and its guidebook, English workbook and its guidebook, sample tasks, and satisfaction checklists. The data obtained were analyzed by mean and standard deviation, and t-test.
The findings of this research were 1) the computer assisted instruction, its guidebook, English workbook, and its guidebook were created and produced to use in the research 2) The integrated English language skills of the students using task-based learning and scaffolding developed increasingly 3) The students using task-based learning strongly satisfied their learning.
