Evaluating Approaches to Advance Research Knowledge for Sustainable Community Development in Thailand

Abstract
The research aims to evaluate the outcomes of the 4th National and 2nd International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences, held under the theme “Mobilizing Research Knowledge for Sustainable Local Development in Thailand”, and organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University. The conference focused on academic knowledge exchange and the promotion of research application for sustainable local development. This quantitative study employed an online questionnaire to collect data from 130 participants, including attendees, presenters, and stakeholders. Descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, means, and standard deviation were used for data analysis. The results showed that the majority of respondents were female (56.7%) and most participated were conference attendees (65.7%). Opinions on the knowledge gained from keynote lectures were rated at the highest level (=4.58, S.D.=0.52), particularly regarding content clarity, completeness, and effectiveness. Overall, the conference was appropriately organized and effectively promoted research for sustainable local development.
