Management of Music Competition Using the POCC Management Theory

Abstract
This academic article explores the management of the CMRU wind ensemble competition 2025 through the application of the POCCC theory, grounded in
Henri Fayol's Functions of Management. The five management-functions—Planning, Organizing, Commanding, Coordinating, and Controlling—serve as the foundation for the administrative processes undertaken. The study highlights a meticulously designed and systematic approach, wherein all activities are interrelated, mutually supportive, and subject to ongoing evaluation. This coherence allows for real-time problem-solving and prompt operational adjustments. Additionally, the POCCC-based management model demonstrates flexibility, enabling modifications in procedural sequences to suit the specific characteristics and requirements of the tasks involved.
