Publication Ethics

Publication ethics adhered by Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University are as follows:
Authors’ Duties
1. Authors must present a full paper that adheres to the form specified by the journal.
2. Authors must confirm that their work is original, has never been published elsewhere (in any language) and it is not currently under review by other journals.
3. Authors must avoid plagiarism and ensure that their article does not infringe on others’ intellectual property rights.
4. Authors must properly acknowledge the works of others and provide in-text citations and a comprehensive list of references.
5. Authors must attach evidence of approval from an institutional review board when their research involves human subjects. Any complaints regarding ethical violations in the result will result in the withdrawal of the publication.
6. Every author listed in the article must have actively participated in conducting the research.
7. The rights to articles published in Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University belong to Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
Editorial Board’ Duties
1. Consulting members have the duty to provide advice concerning the policies of Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
2. The editor-in-chief acts as the head of the editorial board which is responsible for considering articles for publication according to the journal’s aims and scope, ensuring that articles meet the journal’s standards and adhere to intellectual property law, and rejecting articles that have been published elsewhere, without bias.
3. The editor-in-chief has a duty to recruit members specialized in relevant fields and presents their names and affiliations of members on the journal’s website.
4. The editor-in-chief must provide the journal’s address and submission process on the website.
5. The editor-in-chief must not disclose any information about authors to any unauthorized party.
6. The editor-in-chief must publish only articles that have been evaluated by reviewers.
7. The editor-in-chief should avoid conflicts of interest with authors, reviewers and the editorial board.
8. The editor-in-chief must diligently check articles for plagiarism. If plagiarism is found during the evaluation process, the editor-in-chief will halt the process and immediately contact the authors for an explanation.
9. The editor-in-chief must maintain confidentiality of the evaluation process and ensure that the process is fair, unbiased and timely.
10. The editor-in-chief must ensure that every journal issue is published according to the schedule.
Reviewers’ Duties
1. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and must not disclose any part of the article manuscript to unauthorized persons during the evaluation process.
2. Reviewers must avoid conflicts of interest with authors.
3. Reviewers should evaluate only articles in the fields of expertise.
4. Reviewers must assess the significance of the article’s content to the field and the quality of the work, without relying on unsupported personal opinions.
5. If reviewers believe that any part of the article manuscript contains plagiarism, reviewers must promptly notify the editor-in-chief.
6. Reviewers must evaluate and submit the evaluation form on time.
