Abstract

The purpose of this article is to study the evolution of realistic painting in Thailand with a foundation originating in Europe. It is influenced by realistic painting since the reign of King Rama IV. The education system has been adapted to the example of a country that has evolved in art to be comparable to that era, but Thailand has a way of creating its own paintings. Therefore, the early adoption of a realistic painting method was characterized by a traditional Thai pattern without abandoning its own traditional style. The evolution of realistic painting is therefore gradual, it has its own uniqueness, in harmony with the way of life of the people, has traditional culture and there is no conflict with the creative concept of other arts and makes realistic painting in Thailand continuously popular from the past to the present.
