A Decade of Development of Empowering Quality of Life of the Disabled in Thailand (2007 - 2017)

Abstract

          This article is intended to report progress, review and analyze the process of improving the quality of life of the disabled in the next decade. According to the Disability Promotion of Life Act 2007 and amended 2013, it is a government policy that provides concrete foundations for the promotion of the quality of life of the disabled in the rights of the disabled in various areas. The author concludes that process for improving the quality of life of the disabled in the next decade (2018 - 2027). Rights and equality dimension, government and disabled organizations must provide information knowledge and understanding of the rights of the disabled that equal rights to general people with Thai citizenship status and register people with disabilities to receive those rights. Facilities for the disabled disability, loan fund and local and government organizations create an environment technology development and news that people with disabilities can access and use including the promotion of disabled people to access and use from the environment, building, place, transportation and assistive technology for daily living. Sport and recreation, by empowering people with disabilities to access services in medicine, education, careers and employment, sports, tourism. Disability health, providing disabled people with rights and opportunities and protection from the state take advantage of various services from public facilities in the field of rehabilitation through medical processes. Education, individuals have equal rights and opportunities to receive basic education for no less than twelve years, and the state must provide thorough and quality education without charge. Engage in social events, by promoting creative attitudes towards disabilities and people with disabilities, promote and support public and private agencies to organize activities to promote attitudes. Creative towards disabilities, the disabled, the caregivers, and their families create there. Occupation and employment by strengthening the organization of the disabled and the network to drive the operation of the disabled systematically and efficiently.
