Development of strategies to enhancing advanced digital citizenship for secondary school students in the Saraburi secondary education area

The objectives of this research are to: 1) study the current and desired conditions for enhancing advanced digital citizenship for secondary school students in the Saraburi secondary education area; and 2) develop strategies for enhancing advanced digital citizenship for secondary school students in the Saraburi secondary education area through mixed-methods research. The study was divided into two stages, as follows: stage 1 was to study the current and desired conditions of enhancing advanced digital citizenship for secondary school students in the Saraburi education area by questionnaire, and the samples were 348 students in grade 12. For stage 2, to develop the strategies for enhancing advanced digital citizenship for secondary school students in the Saraburi secondary education area, the strategies were drafted by SWOT analysis to evaluate, suitability check, and possibility by evaluation forms and group discussions. Moreover, nine experts participated in the study, and the data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, PNI modified, and content analysis. As a result, it was discovered that the overall current condition of enhancing advanced digital citizenship of secondary school students in the Saraburi secondary education area was at a high level, and the overall desired condition of enhancing advanced digital citizenship of secondary school students in the Saraburi secondary education area was at the highest level. Both conditions were analyzed in internal and external environments. 2) The strategies to enhance advanced digital citizenship for secondary school students in the Saraburi secondary education area consisted of strategy elements: principles, visions, missions, and goals, including five major strategies, fourteen minor strategies, and seventy-nine indicators as procedures, activities, and approaches. The results of the strategy evaluation by nine experts found out that the strategies were suitable, and the possibility was at the highest level.
