MOOC: Life Long Learning in the 21st century

Abstract
In 21st century, Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is a new kind of online learning which engages computer technologies and internet for developing online curriculum benefiting global learners. MOOC becomes a popular learning and teaching platform in abroad. For instance, MOOC providers such as Coursera, Udacity and edX; provide over 400 free courses from a variety of subjects as such Computer Science, Business, and Mathematics. Thailand also has a project named Thai-MOOC, which provides over 140 courses from 40 universities. Thai MOOC aims to provide lifelong learning space benefiting Thai learners and lectures. The learners are able to learn in the areas and subjects of interest, while the lectures are able to create interesting online courses and teaching materials. Consequently, the Thai MOOC can benefit Thai education to develop life-long learning communities. Moreover, the Thai MOOC demonstrates the quality of education, research, entrepreneur and innovation development.
