Cost and financial return analysis of barleria balm agricultural processed products

The objective of this research was to study the financial cost – benefit analysis of herbal processed products: barleria balm community enterprise in Nong Phueng, Yang Noeng and Saraphi subdistrict, Saraphi district, Chiang Mai province. A researcher planned and gathered data from focus group discussion and in-depth interview with members of this group. After collecting data, 3 types of the the barleria balm were found which had 55 grams, 25 grams of wax balm and 3 milliliters of water balm. This project was invested in non-current assets as 53,000 baht. The average cost per unit of these 3 kind of the products were 32.95, 19.81 and 7.34 Baht, respectively. These products had low cost and had the opportunity to generate profit from the operation of group.
The research results found that the amount of net cash flow throughout the project was 111,471.84 baht which payback period was 1.25 months. In addition, the net present value of the project was 84,860.35 Baht and the percentage of Internal Rate of Return was 28.08 %. The analysis of cost and financial returns of this products, allowed the enterprises to collect accounting information systematically, to assign duties and responsibilities of group members clearly.
The outcomes found that the barleria balm enterprise had knowledge and understanding of cost and financial return. They were able to compare gross margin per selling price of each product. In addition, planning to promote the distribution of liquid balm had increased sales and had the highest gross profit concretely.
