Impact of Asean Free Trade Agreement Policy on Rice Farmers in Samkhok District, Pathumthani Province

Abstract

             This study aims to 1) study the effects that the rice farmers receive from the implementation of the ASEAN Free Trade Policy 2) study the conditions of adaptation of rice farmers to support the opening of the ASEAN Free Trade Area and 3) survey the problems Obstacles and needs of rice growers This study uses quantitative research methods. Data were collected from farmers in Sam Khok District. The data were collected by questionnaires and analyzed by descriptive statistics and t-test.
           The results of the research were as follows: 1) the effects that the rice farmers receive from the implementation of the ASEAN Free Trade Policy, it was found that farmers were greatly affected by both the positive and the negative implementation of the policy. 2) the use of the open ASEAN Free Trade Area policy led to the adjustment of rice growers in Sam Khok District. Reducing production costs and increasing the quality of rice in order to get quality produce. 3) the problems and obstacles of the farmers are important.
