Mango farmer database system development integrated area of Chachoengsao Province

Abstract

This study was conducted according to an action research model. The objectives are: 1) To study problems in providing information about mangoes; 2) To create and develop a mango farmers' database that integrates with the level area in Chachoengsao province; and 3) To study the level of satisfaction of the database service users. The research result is divided into 4 phases. Phase 1 is a phase that explores problems and needs found that the main usage problems include being unable to search the information data collection is in the form of documents stored in government areas, making it difficult to locate. The display of the data is modular and difficult to implement and the problem of obtaining permission to publish information. Phase 2 is database design. It is the development of a database to solve problems or limitations in Phase 1 by developing a menu to search information from a search query and a menu to display the analysis results in various forms. Phase 3 is assessing and testing the system by comparing the results of the new data collection with the old database consistency with the original database was found.  Phase 4 is the synthesis of data from the sample production estimates revealed that April is the period when the mango production is the highest, which may result in oversupply. Therefore, a management system for oversupply and a privatization policy should be developed.
